Chocolate Sponge Eggless
Eggless Chocolate Sponge Cake
Is it possible to make eggless chocolate sponge without using egg?
Absolutely possible and taste is awesome and easy to prepare as well. That is why i am publishing this recipe for everyone to try and enjoy the goodness of chocolate cake.
In this recipe Instead of cocoa powder i have used compound chocolate.It gives good taste to the sponge.Do try it yourself.
- Flour-200 gm
- Powder Sugar- 160 gm
- Curd- 240 gm
- Oil- 120 gm
- Vanilla Essence-5 ml
- Baking Powder-3 gm
- Baking Soda- 3 gm
- Dark Chocolate- 70 gm
1.Melt Chocolate with oil on double boiler and keep aside.
2.Take a bowl, sieve flour with baking powder and baking soda. Add Powder sugar and mix well.
3.Mix curd with dry ingredients along with vanilla essence and mix .Finally add chocolate and oil mixture and blend well without lumps to a fine batter.
4. Transfer the sponge cake batter to pre prepared cake tin and bake at 200c for about 25 to 30 mts.
5.After baking transfer the sponge to a cooling tray to cool it completely before storing or using.
Always melt chocolate with oil.It will make mixing chocolate with flour mix easy.This recipe can also be made as chocolate eggless cup cake.Baking powder and Baking soda should be sieved with flour to disperse them evenly.Use fresh yogurt( Curd) for good result,if the yogurt is more than a day old it will give sour taste to the cake.
This cake was baked in OTG oven,using any other oven will need different baking time and temperature.Incase of using deck oven bake at 180c for about 20 to 25 mts.
