Eggless Banana Cake Recipe
Not everyone likes cake with egg and those who love banana cake ,egg should not stop them from enjoying this amazing cake.For those who don’t eat cake with egg i present this eggless banana cake recipe which is very easy to make and tastes great as well.
- Flour-200 gm
- Banana-150 gm
- Sugar-160 gm
- Curd(Yogurt)-170 gm
- Oil – 125 gm
- Vanilla Essence- 5 ml Or Banana Essence- 3 gm
- Lemon-1/2 no
- Baking Powder- 3 gm
- Baking Soda- 3 gm
- Cinnamon Powder- 1 gm
- Chopped Almonds-50 gm
Eggless Banana Cake Method:
1.Sieve flour with baking powder,Baking soda and cinnamon powder.Keep aside.
2.Beat banana,yougurt and sugar in a blender,add vanilla essence and lemon juice.Mix well.
3.Add flour to the banana mixture and beat well till no lumps.Finalyy add oil and fold in.
4.Transfer the prepared batter to a lined baking tin and bake in the pre heated oven at 200c for about 25 to 30 minutes.
5.Once done incert a tooth pick in the centre of the cake to check if the cake is done.Then transfer the cake to a cooling tray after allowing few minutes in cake tin.Once cooled cake can be cut and served or stored in a airtight bag for later use.
Use well ripened robusta banana for good result.Always use fresh Yogurt(curd) as the curd older than a few days will end up giving sour taste to the cake.This recipe was done in OTG oven,In case of commercial oven the baking temperature will be 180c for about 20 to 25 minutes.
I have used almonds in this recipe but you can also use walnuts or any nut of your choice.Instead of lemon juice you can also use vinegar.
